FISHERS OF MEN
THE MEN'S MINISTRY OF SEDALIA BAPTIST CHURCH
MARK 1:14-18
14After John was put in prison, Jesus went into Galilee, proclaiming the good news of God. 15"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!"
16As Jesus walked beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and his brother Andrew casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 17"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." 18At once they left their nets and followed him. (NIV)
MISSIONSTATEMENT:
WE ARE A MINISTRY TO MEN WITH A COMMON INTEREST, THE GREAT OUTDOORS! WE WILL USE GOD'S CREATION FOR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, FELLOWSHIP, DISCIPLESHIP, AND OUTREACH. WE WILL SERVE CHRIST BY LEADING LOST SOULS TO HIM AND ENCOURAGING SPIRITUAL GROWTH.
OUR PURPOSE:
· TO USE THIS MINISTRY AS AN ARM FOR SEDALIA BAPTIST CHURCH TO REACH THE LOST.
· TO PROVIDE THE TOOLS FOR MEN TO BE ABLE TO SHARE THEIR FAITH.
· TO CHALLENGE FELLOW SPORTSMEN TO SERVE CHRIST IN ALL THEY SAY AND DO.
· TO SHARE A LOVE FOR THE OUTDOORS WITH OTHERS.
· TO HAVE A LOT OF FUN AND TO FELLOWSHIP WITH THE MEN OF OUR COMMUNITY!
